We went to the Arlington Cemetery today. This is the first time and group to go to the cemetery. When we got there we had to buy a ticket for $8.50. Next we headed outdoors where we all boarded a bus. As we were driving someone was telling us about the area we were in. Then we were let of the bus to see other graves and writing. Once we were done we went to a bus station and boarded again. We had to keep our tickets if we wanted to board again. In that cemetery there is about 300,000 people buried there. Some of the people on this trip had a relative that was the Ace of Aces. He would have been buried in this cemetery but their family wanted him buried in his home town. Dog tags are the necklaces that identify who you are and they were not introduced until World War 1. There is over 5,000 unknown soilders also buried here. This cemetery is very big they even left a very wooded part of it so they could show how it was before they turned it into the cemetery known today.

That is a lot of people to be buried in one cemetery. Thats cool how they kept a wooden area to show what it was like back then.
